Never in my life has a 1 hour and 36-minute movie inspired me as much as Legally Blonde, especially the character Elle Woods-a literal ICON! Elle Woods is unafraid to be herself. She never lets others affect her self-worth, despite being mocked at Harvard for her feminine taste and love of pink.
She is shamelessly herself, time and time again, showing us that being 'girly' in no way limits her abilities. And, she defies the expectation that she has to suppress her feminity in order to succeed in a male-dominated setting.
Here are some of my fave Elle Woods scenes that greatly inspired me:
1. She knew what she wanted and totally went for it.
From the very beginning, Elle was clear about her ambitions. Despite being seen as a ditzy sorority girl, she was determined to become a lawyer and attend Harvard Law School. She didn't let anyone's doubts or skepticism affect her self-confidence, and she worked tirelessly to achieve her goals.
When she was rejected by Warner, her boyfriend, who thought she was too frivolous for him, she didn't give up. Instead, she poured all her energy into getting into Harvard, and she succeeded.
Elle's determination and grit were inspiring, as she showed us that nothing is impossible if you work hard enough for it.
2. What she said to Warner when she got into Harvard.
